Overview General Manager of Medcan's current Markham location, responsible for full ownership of site performance, including P&L; management, operational excellence, client experience, and community engagement. The role leads a cross‑functional team of 20+ staff and serves as Medcan’s ambassador in the local market. Responsibilities - Lead the delivery of personalized, high‑touch client service across all programs and touchpoints, ensuring seamless client journeys and high‑quality, consistent brand experiences. - Utilize client experience metrics (NPS, CSAT) to identify improvement opportunities and act on feedback, personally supporting escalations as needed. - Manage a cross‑functional team of 20+ professionals, fostering performance management, process development, and training for strong operational performance. - Own the full site‑level P&L;, driving revenue growth and cost management through business planning and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. - Serve as community ambassador, building relationships with local businesses, organisations, and referral networks to raise awareness and generate leads. - Ensure all physical spaces meet Medcan’s brand and hospitality standards, overseeing facility maintenance, vendor relationships, and day‑to‑day operational needs. Qualifications - 7‑15 years of senior leadership experience in a multi‑disciplinary clinical, healthcare, wellness, or high‑end hospitality setting. - Demonstrated full P&L; accountability and site‑level financial performance management. - Entrepreneurial leader who rolls up sleeves and gets into the details. - Strong cross‑functional and matrix leadership skills with influence capabilities. - Client‑service orientation, experienced in high‑touch, service‑focused environments. - Data‑driven mindset, able to use operational, financial, and client experience insights for decision making. - Proven success in community engagement, local business development, and/or brand ambassadorship. - Executive presence with ability to manage client escalations and represent site performance to senior leadership. - Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset. - Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is an asset. - Solid alignment to Medcan’s values, mission, and purpose. Benefits & Compensation - Full‑time, on‑site position: 40 hours per week, 8:30am‑5:00pm Monday–Friday. - Position initially based at Medcan Toronto (150 York St) until the Markham site opens in Fall 2026. - Annual salary range: $117,979.00 – $162,220.75 CAD, based on selected candidate’s experience and qualifications. - Base compensation only; additional compensation details such as benefits, bonuses, or incentives are not included in this range.
