About the role Tag is looking for a commercially minded, analytically strong Senior Commercial Manager to join our team in Toronto. Reporting to the VP of Commercials, this role will serve as a key commercial partner to senior leadership, helping shape pricing, deal structures, contract strategy, and portfolio performance across new and existing client relationships. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, strategy, and client delivery. You will collaborate across Business Development, Operations, Account Management, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to develop commercially sound solutions, improve profitability, and support strategic growth across multiple service lines and regions. What you’ll do · Lead commercial initiatives that improve profitability, strengthen deal quality, and support long-term client value creation. · Enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and key performance indicators to improve visibility into account and portfolio performance. · Partner with business and operational leaders to support the successful commercial delivery of client contracts and programs. · Assess existing commercial arrangements and recommend structures that balance client needs, operational delivery, commercial risk, and profitability. · Play a lead role in shaping and leveraging key contract terms, including pricing frameworks, SLAs, KPIs, billing approaches, and commercial protections. · Develop commercial recommendations for new business, renewals, and restructures, including pricing models, financial assumptions, and deal economics. · Establish and maintain best practices for deal governance, contract consistency, and commercial decision-making across engagements. · Ensure financial compliance with contractual commitments and agreed performance measures. · Bring fresh thinking to commercial challenges by identifying practical, innovative solutions that support both clients and the business. · Provide financial leadership on complex deals and contracts to help deliver strong commercial outcomes. · Act as a commercial leader across the business by supporting and mentoring colleagues in pricing strategy, commercial modeling, and sound decision-making. · Analyze issues at both deal and portfolio level, connecting day-to-day decisions to broader business impact. What you’ll bring · Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. · 7+ years of experience in a commercial, finance, or business analytics role with a strong emphasis on pricing, modeling, and analytics. · Meaningful experience supporting multiple client engagements and service lines in a complex, client-facing environment. · Strong ability to manage and analyze P&L; performance, including forecasting, budgeting, costing, pricing, and revenue and expense analysis. · Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience reviewing financial statements and advising on contract renewals and restructures. · Deep understanding of contract management, deal structures, client solutions, and commercial risk management. · Experience with outsourcing or managed-services commercial models across the contract lifecycle is strongly preferred. · Proficiency in commercial pricing and analytical tools, with strong MS Office capabilities, especially Excel and PowerPoint. · Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex commercial issues clearly and confidently. · A highly adaptable, organized, and self-directed approach, with the judgment and resilience to operate effectively in a fast-paced workplace.
