Senior Accountant 3 months (Markham)

Client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a short‐term contract engagement (3‐4 months). In this role, you will support quarterly reviews and annual external audits, prepare financial statements and supporting documentation, and perform technical accounting research. Responsibilities Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual external audits with auditors and internal stakeholders. Prepare consolidation working papers, financial statements, and note disclosures. Develop audit committee materials and other reporting analyses. Perform technical accounting research and draft accounting memos under IFRS. Prepare selected month‐end reconciliations. Support ad‐hoc projects as needed. Qualifications Professional accounting designation (CPA) with 5+ years of relevant experience. Background in public accounting is considered an asset. Robust knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting. Experience with external financial reporting and MD&A.; Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada.
