The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and increasing profit margins for MSI’s tile product lines within the retailer and dealer network, across an assigned geographic territory. Work Hours
Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM; 2 Saturday(s) a month from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM Compensation
This salaried, exempt position pays from $60,000 to $80,000 per year. The estimated annual pay for new hires generally ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 or more, depending on experience, education level and commission structure. Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers within assigned territories, focusing on retailer and dealer networks to drive sales and promote flooring and countertop products. Provide product knowledge and training to store personnel so they can effectively present products and negotiate with consumers.Understand the company’s products, competitors, and strategies to position products advantageously. Manage displays, samples, and sales tools to ensure availability for customers. Advise dealers on retail pricing, advertising, promotions, and return on investment, backed by a solid understanding of retail finances.Prepare quotes, discuss credit terms, and draft sales contracts for customer orders. Estimate customer delivery dates based on company schedules. Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities with current and prospective customers. Use marketing tools (catalogs, brochures, vendor materials) to expand territorial reach and promote company products.Research and analyze customer needs and market trends to better understand demand. Resolve complaints and issues related to deliveries, returns, and credits. Participate in trade shows throughout the year, as needed. Be willing to travel up to 90%, primarily locally, with occasional overnight stays.Perform any other duties as required. Qualifications
University degree preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Previous sales experience is an asset. Industry experience is an asset but not mandatory. Strong math skills for calculating discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, areas, and volumes. Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, able to work independently and as part of ateam.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM platforms is an asset. Excellent communication, presentation, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills. Bilingualism is an asset. Physical Demands
