Medicine Hat Christian School Temporary Part‑Time 0.4 FTE Literacy & Numeracy Support Teacher August 27, 2026 – June 29, 2027 Medicine Hat Christian School seeks a passionate, collaborative, and student‑centered, faith‑based elementary Literacy and Numeracy Support Teacher. This role is specifically designed to provide targeted instructional support within larger classrooms. It is a K‑to‑9 school that serves approximately 300 students and is an alternative Christian faith education program within the Medicine Hat Public School Division. Responsibilities As an integral part of a agile teaching team, the successful candidate will co‑plan and co‑deliver lessons to ensure every student — regardless of their starting point — thrives in core foundational skills. The candidate will develop and implement engaging lessons, foster a positive and inclusive learning setting that encourages active participation, and assess and monitor student progress. The candidate will work directly within larger elementary classrooms to provide “elbow‑to‑elbow” support alongside the lead teacher. Qualifications Support a Christian faith perspective in teaching, learning, and relationships. Facilitate students and parents in having a personal connection with the school. Work collaboratively as part of a team. Work effectively in a team‑teaching environment.
