We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Representative to lead business development efforts across our New Construction and Re‑Roofing divisions. The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities within the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. This role focuses on proactively building a qualified pipeline of leads for new construction and re‑roofing projects by engaging with general contractors, consultants, developers, and property owners. The BDR is often the first point of contact and playsa critical role in positioning the company as a partner of choice for upcoming project opportunities.
What You’ll Do
Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, in‑person visits, and networking to generate new opportunities.
Research and track upcoming developments, construction projects, and re‑roofing needs in target markets.
Qualify leads and schedule meetings for Sales Consultants or Account Managers to advance the sales cycle.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all activity and communication in the CRM.
Develop and maintain a target list of general contractors, consultants, and developers.
Monitor construction bid sites and association bulletins for relevant opportunities.
Attend networking events, industry functions, and trade shows to promote the company and generate interest.
Collaborate with marketing to support lead generation campaigns and material development.
Provide regular reporting on prospecting activity, pipeline growth, and market feedback.
Assist in prequalification submissions and early stage proposal coordination when necessary.
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within construction or commercial services.
Strong technical understanding of roofing systems and the construction process.
Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets and maintain a strong, active sales pipeline.
Excellent relationship‑building, communication, and negotiation skills.
Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail.
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and estimating or bid tracking tools.
A self‑starter with a results‑oriented mindset and the ability to thrive independently.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for meetings, site visits, and industry events.
