Senior Sous Chef (Milton)

The successful candidate will take over day to day kitchen management responsibilties. **Remuneration is based on the candidate experience and skill set conducive to presently maintaining and, in the near future, improving present quality to ensure continued growth of the operation. Candidate's salary will increase based on job performance** The following qualifications and skill sets are required: - Strong management, leadership and customer service skills - Ability to work co-operatively with owners and co-workers to deliver an exceptional customer service experience and to work on developing and maintaining superlative efficiency and teamwork between the kitchen and dining room staff - Excellent cooking skills and knowledge along with the ability to train and instruct the kitchen team members and efficiently delegate duties - Genuine passion to consistently deliver quality food to our patrons along with the creative ability to create and introduce new dishes and stay informed on new trends in order to keep our menu selection fresh in order to enhance customers experience - Ability to maintain acceptable food cost - Responsible for food purchases and inventory - Maintain high standards for food storage, rotation and quality - Knowledge and ability to ensure safety and sanitation regulations and to implement policies and procedures as required - Coordinate and direct kitchen staff - Robust organization and communication skills - Excellent leadership qualities along with the ability to inspire co-workers to help them in their professional development Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $70,000.00 per year Experience: - chef: 5 years (required) Licence/Certification: - Food Handler Certification (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p6owh
