AZ-DZ Dump Truck Driver (manual transmission only) (Milton)

Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials safely and efficiently across various job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance. Prior experience with forklift operation, freight handling, and automotive repair is a plus, ensuring smooth operation and safety compliance on the job. Duties - Operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, or other loads to designated locations - Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns - Maintain accurate logs of trips, loads, and maintenance activities - Assist with forklift operations when necessary for loading or unloading cargo - Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition - Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies during transportation activities - Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding delivery schedules and site conditions Requirements - Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump truck operation - Proven experience operating heavy equipment, including dump trucks and forklifts - Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation - Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on heavy vehicles - Robust understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation - Excellent driving record with no recent violations or accidents - Physical ability to load, unload, and secure materials; capable of working in various weather conditions - Prior experience in construction, mining, or related industries is preferred but not required This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team committed to safety and efficiency.
