Description
As part of its continued growth and the evolution of its industrial projects, PMR is creating a new Mechanical Designer position within its team. The successful candidate will play a key role in mechanical design, process optimization, and the execution of technical projects in collaboration with the engineering, maintenance, production, and procurement teams. This role represents an excellent prospect for an autonomous, creative, and solution-oriented individual looking to make a concrete impact in a dynamic, team-oriented, and growing setting. Main responsibilities Create detailed models of complete projects to ensure thorough understanding and efficient implementation. Collaborate with the engineering, maintenance, and production teams to make the necessary adjustments. Maintain revision control and proper documentation for all designs. Participate in technical review meetings and contribute to alignment between departments. Support project managers during client presentations to better understand customer needs and propose appropriate solutions. Prepare material order lists and support procurement activities. Assist the purchasing department with subcontractor quotation requests. Perform any other related tasks involving design, engineering, and continuous improvement of equipment. What we’re looking for DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology or other relevant equivalent experience. 5 to 10 years of experience in a mechanical design role within an industrial machinery environment. Valuable understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, and mechanical assembly. Functional knowledge of Autodesk Suite or CAD systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Robust analytical mindset, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills and team spirit.
