Supervised Instructor Therapist

Job Types Part-time, hourly.

Work setup Center and community-based. Travel is required.

Salary From $21-24/hr.

Schedule Monday - Friday between 9am - 6:30PM; Saturday - Sunday between 9AM - 3PM.

Responsibilities

Responsible for implementing treatment plans based on best practices.

Uses systematic methods and behavioral strategies to support client in changing their behavior.

Contributes to the development of ABA programs established by the BCBA to teach and reinforce a variety of skills for children and youth in a 1:1 and/or small group setting.

Understanding the functions of behavior and responding appropriately and safely when situations arise.

Adhering to all ABA training, procedures and protocols.

Ability to adapt to changing conditions and/or routine and provide creative solutions.

Responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment for the client.

Responsible for maintaining the well-being and safety of the client while under their care.

Track client progress through collection of data and graphing while keeping clients engaged; assists in conducting baseline measurements and other indirect measures as instructed by the Lead Therapist/BCaBA/BCBA.

Complete incident reports in Microsoft Teams within 24 hours of an incident.

Prepare teaching materials and organize teaching environment.

Document exceptional circumstances, complete ABC logs, and track multiple behaviors.

Organize and maintain program binders for each client to include documentation, data collection, and individual files.

Maintain workspace organization and cleanliness.

Complete indirect work under the direction of the clinician in the appropriate time allotted and framework expected.

Qualifications

A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for daily use.

Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Experience working with children and youth with complex needs and/or developmental disabilities is an asset.

Enrollment in or degree from a post-secondary program of Psychology, Educational Psychology, Special Education, or another related field is an asset.

Autism Spectrum Disorder specific coursework, training or workshops is an asset.

Experience working with clients who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities.

Available for hourly shifts that can build to full time.

Experience delivering services in home and community.

Willingness to travel for in-home/community sessions, including availability on weekends as needed.
