Project Manager Project Lead (Construction & Logistics) Role Overview The Project Lead bridges construction management, logistics, and account development. You will oversee the full lifecycle of store development projects from planning to execution. This role manages timelines, budgets, and quality standards while leading the logistics process to ensure efficient goods and services flow. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution - System Setup: Initialize project master data, including projects, parties, and articles. - Milestone Tracking: Manage project timelines in Tract or Wrike, holding stakeholders accountable. - Procurement: Execute digital RFQ bidding processes using the TRACT sourcing module. - Blueprint Reading: Interpret design and construction drawings for project sites. - Financial Oversight: Create budgets, monitor expenditures, and perform margin analysis. - Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly project management and missing milestone reports. - Performance Dashboards: Maintain project KPI dashboards and evaluate metrics with stakeholders. Stakeholder & Logistics Management - Primary Contact: Act as the main liaison between customers, suppliers, site supervisors, and carriers. - Meetings: Organize project kick-off calls and participate in operational process reviews. - Inventory Control: Place orders and manage inventory within TRACT Cross Dock for final-mile delivery. - Supplier Management: Ensure on-time supplier delivery and create Advanced Shipment Notices in TRACT. - Transportation: Plan shipments, assign carriers via TRACT TMS, and create Transport Agreements. - Delivery tracking: Monitor final-mile orders, pick-ups, and delivery milestones. - Documentation: Create commercial shipping documents in TRACT for import/export customs. - Claims: Process Over, Short, and Damaged (OS&D;) freight claims. - Financial Follow-Up: Partner with finance to verify purchase invoice payments and customer billing. Commercial Growth & Continuous Improvement - Account Growth: Achieve revenue targets on assigned accounts through upsells and renewals. - Sales Collaboration: Partner with the Sales Director to pursue new business opportunities. - Pipeline Support: Contribute to accurate forecasting and long-term account strategies. - Process Optimization: Analyze metrics and suggest system solutions to improve best practices. Role Requirements Education & Experience - Degrees: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. - Certifications: Prince2 or PMP certification preferred. - Overall Experience: 4–5 years of professional work experience preferred. - Project Experience: 2–3 years of project management experience strongly preferred. - Global Exposure: 1–2 years of international business experience or equivalent global market knowledge. Technical & Functional Skills - Supply Chain Knowledge: Robust understanding of retail supply chains, warehousing, final mile, and white-glove services. - Software: Advanced MS Excel skills and a strong interest in learning specialized logistics systems. - Project Lifecycle: Proven ability to plan from concept to implementation, map timelines, and assess risks. - Financial Acumen: Ability to analyze financial metrics and recommend budget performance strategies. Soft Skills & Working Conditions - Communication: Clear, consistent written and spoken English. Multilingual skills are a plus. - Pressure Management: Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations with proactive, transparent communication. - Prioritization: Strong workload management with a customer-first focus. - Travel: Occasional travel to customer sites, local warehouses, or the Columbus office as needed.
