Sessional Lecturer I In Earth Science Mississauga

Contribute to Earth Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga as a Sessional Lecturer I for ERS111H5. This in-person role involves teaching and assessing 150 students effectively. UTM is seeking a qualified individual with a Ph.D. in Earth Science for a term starting September 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026. The lecturer will design and deliver course content on the interplay of Earth systems, geological processes, and climate. Candidates should have teaching experience and a solid record of recent research, ideally accompanied by evidence of teaching excellence. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and deliver engaging course content • Design and mark assignments, tests, and exams • Calculate and submit grades accurately • Supervise and guide teaching assistants • Hold regular office hours for student support Requirements: • Ph.D. in a relevant Earth Science field • Recent high-quality research experience • Proven teaching excellence with evidence • Ability to present a sample lecture • Commitment to continuous learning Engage students in Earth Science while contributing to the academic mission of the University of Toronto Mississauga.
