Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team at Indian Spice - Mississauga. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in a fast‑paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food‑handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience at any South Indian restaurant is preferred, but we value enthusiasm and a willingnessto learn.Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation according to recipes and standards Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely service Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all timesAssist with meal assembly and plating for service Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations Stock and restock supplies as needed, ensuring proper storage of ingredients Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment Qualifications

Prior experience in food service, South Indian restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting while maintaining attention to detailStrong teamwork skills and good communication abilities Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required Passion for the food industry and a desire to grow culinary skills Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour Benefits
