Overview Private household in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Child Care Provider/Live-out Caregiver to care for two autistic children, ages 9 and 12, in the employer’s home. Duties Supervise and care for the children in employer’s residence Assist children with daily routines including waking up, personal care, preparing for school, getting on the school bus and doing homework Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks Special attention to detail while assisting during meals and snacks Accompany children to and from school, appointments, or activities if required Organize age-appropriate recreational and educational activities Support emotional well-being and social development Maintain a safe and healthy workplace in the home with special attention to child proofing. Follow parents’ instructions regarding therapy routines, behavioural support, and schedules. Training will be provided by parents.
