Description
We are helping our client in Mississauga with a Sr Financial Analyst search, this is a full-time permanent role with bonus, advantages, RRSP matching, and a hybrid work model. Strong preference for candidates with public accounting (firm) backgrounds. CPA is a must have or CFE passed. Responsibilities Assist with key elements of the financial planning cycle, including quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term strategic planning, with a focus on cash flow, balance sheet, and P&L; analysis. Build detailed bottom-up forecasts and evaluate the impact on financial statements, particularly operating cash flow, while identifying underlying drivers and business implications. Partner closely with the team to provide financial insights, performance reporting, and meaningful analysis that supports operational and strategic decision‑making. Prepare financial models, profitability assessments, capital analysis, and business case evaluations to support investment and operational initiatives. Contribute to the design and implementation of KPI dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility for finance teams and business leaders. Support ongoing improvements in analytics capabilities, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies to enable quicker and more effective insights. Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, explain variances, and provide commentary on business performance trends. Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of financial information delivered to Finance. Assist with the implementation of new planning and reporting systems while collaborating with Corporate FP&A; teams to maintain alignment across initiatives. Prepare ad hoc financial reports, analyses, and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior leadership as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA designation completed or CFE passed. Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in FP&A;, financial reporting, operational finance, or business partnering roles. Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel capabilities, including forecasting and cash flow analysis. Exposure to BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, SQL Server, Power Pivot, or VBA is considered an asset. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to assess business impacts on financial performance and reporting. Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced workplace. High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
