Overview We are seeking a motivated Shop Helper / General Labourer to join our metal fabrication team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a energetic manufacturing environment, supporting various fabrication and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, and capable of working safely with industrial equipment and tools. Duties - Assist with the operation of CNC laser cutting, Bending Machine , plasma cutting, and other CNC machinery. - Support the setup and operation of press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. - Handle material movement using forklifts, ensuring safe and efficient transport of metal components. - Perform basic machining tasks, including measuring with calipers, reading blueprints, and performing quality inspections. - Use hand tools for assembly, fitting, and finishing tasks according to specifications. - Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. - Follow safety protocols related to manufacturing operations and equipment handling. Experience - Prior experience or familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining is preferred but not required; training will be provided. - Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. - Knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical principles is advantageous. - Experience operating or working around forklifts, CNC equipment, or press brake machines is a plus. - Hands-on experience with hand tools, calipers, quality inspection procedures, and general machining techniques is desirable.
