Full Time AZ Driver, Night Shift (Mississauga)

AZ Driver | Full-Time | $28.02/Hour Mississauga, Ontario – Dedicated Route Monday to Friday | 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience required Hand-bombing and tailgate deliveries using a pump cart Cardinal Couriers is looking for a motivated individual to join our team. This position is responsible for loading orders into an assigned company vehicle and following a predetermined route to ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role that involves driving, lifting, lowering, and carrying packages to ensure damage-free delivery. Responsibilities and Duties: - Safely operate and maneuver heavy trucks in accordance with traffic laws and regulations - Transport goods over long-distance or local routes, ensuring on-time delivery - Ensure proper loading and securement of cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit - Unload cargo at delivery points and verify quantities against delivery documents - Navigate routes efficiently, including unfamiliar areas, to meet delivery timelines - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking mechanical and safety systems (e.g., brakes, tires, lights) - Report mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate team - Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, rest periods, and delivery logs - Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding schedules or issues - Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations - Follow all safety procedures and immediately report any incidents or concerns Who You Are: - Valid AZ driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years’ experience - 2–3 years of commercial driving experience preferred - Clean Driver Abstract and CVOR report - Previous warehouse shipping/receiving experience is an asset - Able to work independently and take initiative - Robust communication and multitasking skills - Comfortable working under deadlines - Able to lift up to 70 lbs - Maintain a clean and organized work environment Benefits: - Extended health benefits (prescription, vision, dental, massage therapy, mental health, etc.) - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Paid on-site training - Consistent routes and equipment (where applicable) - Permanent, full-time employment - Positive, team-oriented, and safety-focused work environment Why Join Us: Cardinal Couriers is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace committed to fostering an inclusive environment.
