Role Overview The Senior Director, Insurance Performance Management & Business Decision Support is a key member of the Insurance Finance leadership team, responsible for financial planning and analysis, management reporting, business case modeling and analysis, and providing support to the Insurance executive team. What you will do Establish the mandate for a leading Performance Management & Business Decision Support function, working closely with peers across the organization to leverage best practices and lessons learned. Manage the hub of financial performance information for the Insurance business, providing insightful analysis and actionable information to business leaders, including the CEO, COO, Chief Digital & Data Officer and CFO of Insurance. Provide insightful and actionable financial and business analytics of Insurance results, developing complex presentations to support executive decision‑making. Provide analysis and recommendations on the usage of financial resources, through identification of issues and ongoing monitoring of results, including leadership over sales and expense analysis and analysis of strategic initiatives. Coordinate ongoing forecasts, annual plan, 5‑year outlook and line of business reviews, including managing the stress‑testing exercise for Insurance. Oversee benchmarking and peer comparisons; present findings and recommendations to senior management. Provide financial advisory services supporting various programs across Insurance. Foster an engaged and cutting-edge team environment, tapping into financial and non‑financial data across the enterprise to drive value‑add financial analysis, while keeping current with market trends and identification of business opportunities. Manage changes to regulatory and accounting standards to ensure forecasting, planning and strategic initiatives remain accurate. Key Finance contact for the Insurance platform, ensuring regular reporting, analysis and performance management requirements meet the needs of senior leadership and the Insurance Operating Committee. What do you need to succeed? Experience in Insurance, preferably life insurance and group benefits. 7+ years of experience in management reporting and analysis, and/or FP&A;, including development of key metrics and business drivers. Very strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with data‑mining capability and the ability to explore new technologies to enhance delivery of financial information. Strong team and people management abilities and a proven ability to lead across a wide group of peers. Keen sense of numbers, strong analytical skill, ability to multitask and handle high‑pressure executive level requests on a continuous basis. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and mobilize groups to deliver on common goals. Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to consistently exercise independent thought and judgment and adapt to new tasks quickly. Nice to Have CPA, CFA or Finance MBA. Understanding of actuarial concepts, accounting and/or valuation. Experience in insurance FP&A;, actuarial or reporting functions. Experience with financial modelling, statistics, risk or other quantitative metrics. Prior implementation of reporting/forecasting tools. What’s in it for you?
