You will work on airside infrastructure projects for municipal, regional, and major aviation hubs, with hybrid work and flexible hours. Responsibilities - Airside Design and Technical Delivery - Guide and manage airside civil infrastructure projects from planning to delivery, ensuring compliance with aviation standards. - Conduct engineering analysis, CAD drafting, and design development using specialized software for airside and terminal tasks. - Evaluate alternative technical solutions for feasibility, constructability, and alignment with airport operations and client needs. - Prepare, review, and provide technical input on documentation and deliverables to maintain quality control. - Coordinate contract administration and construction‑phase activities, including site support and technical responses. - Project Management and Client Service - Lead project coordination and delivery, resolving design and engineering issues and tracking open items. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists to develop integrated solutions beyond standard engineering. - Serve as primary client interface throughout the project lifecycle, supporting communication and decision‑making. - Support proposal preparation and pursuit activities with technical input and delivery strategy. - Innovation & Digital Delivery - Automate routine tasks and experiment with AI‑enabled tools to enhance design processes. - Learning & Development - Commit to continuous self‑development and mentor junior staff. - Coach and mentor client staff and contribute to professional associations and committees. - Sustainable Business Development - Seek and cultivate long‑term business opportunities aligned with sustainability goals. - Travel to Dillon offices or project sites as needed for collaboration and knowledge sharing. Qualifications - Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible to register. - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. - Five or more years of experience in airport engineering, civil design, or site development. Must Haves - Proven experience applying Canadian aerodrome standards (TP312 4th & 5th editions). - Knowledge of various airport types, including regional, municipal, gravel airstrips, and major hubs. - Strong analytical and project management skills with effective schedule, budget, and priority management. - Experience managing or supporting infrastructure projects through design and construction. - Solid technical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. - Excellent organizational and coordination capabilities in a fast‑paced environment. - Clear and effective communication skills for client engagement and proposal preparation. - Collaborative mindset across disciplines and stakeholders. Nice to Haves - Knowledge of airfield pavement structural design and ICAO/FAA standards. - Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, AviPLAN, SkySafe, AutoTURN. - Experience engaging stakeholders through workshops or large‑group meetings. - Familiarity with Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) compliance reviews or Contract Administration (CA).
