Job Title: Credit Transaction Management Transversal Administrator
Location: Montréal, QC (Onsite)
Duration: 4-Month Contract (Possible Extension)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Transaction Management Transversal Administrator to join the Global Banking Operations team. This role is critical in supporting credit risk mitigation and regulatory compliance through the review and validation of credit documentation and legal opinions across a portfolio of transactions.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in corporate banking operations, credit/loan documentation, and middle office functions, along with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Credit Documentation & Legal Review (Primary Focus)
- Perform detailed reviews of approximately 650 credit protection files
- Validate the presence, accuracy, and enforceability of Legal Opinions
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, business teams, and external legal counsel to obtain missing documentation
- Update and validate legal opinion data in internal risk systems
- Document findings and identify remediation actions for non-compliant files
2. Legal Documentation Management
- Verify and maintain required legal documents in internal repositories
- Track and log documentation status
- Input and validate data related to:
- Covenants
- Guarantees
- Collateral
- Insurance
- Respond to document requests, audits, and inquiries
- Review legal documentation for regulatory considerations and covenant breaches
3. Credit Operations & Risk Support
- Support data entry for:
- Annual credit reviews
- Internal ratings
- Capital market exposures
- Process transactions such as:
- Loan drawdowns
- Letters of Credit
- Monitor exception reports and resolve data quality issues
- Prepare internal risk and exposure reports (e.g., watchlists, past dues)
4. Controls & Process Improvement
- Conduct periodic controls on credit files and documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in attestations and monitoring activities
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
5. Team & Project Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Participate in UAT testing and project-related activities
- Handle additional operational tasks as required
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in:
- Corporate Banking Operations
- Credit Administration / Loan Operations
- Middle Office functions
- Strong understanding of:
- Credit agreements
- Loan structures
- Banking products and practices
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
- Nice to have:
- Power BI / Power Query
- Loan IQ system
