Software Developer II – CNN Connected TV Devices As a Software Developer II, you will help build world‑class connected TV streaming video applications, shipping brand new features, platform ports, and bug fixes. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, design, and research teams to plan, scope, and deliver work in a consistent, predictable manner. Responsibilities Make significant, high‑quality code contributions to the project. Pair up with senior engineers to define, scope, plan, and implement new product features. Continuously improve development processes by adding test coverage, improving automation, documenting, or refactoring code. Participate in technical design and discovery activities within the team to support product roadmap definition. Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping production software applications using JavaScript. Experience building user interfaces with ReactJS. Experience with TypeScript. Demonstrated success in delivering high‑quality software in an iterative, predictable, and sustainable way. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Bonus: experience developing consumer applications or connected‑TV/mobile applications (React Native, Lightning). Bonus: proven advocacy for high‑quality software development practices (test coverage, automation, CI/CD). Bonus: rapid learning of new technologies, languages or frameworks. Passionate about performance and creating amazing experiences for CNN users. Compensation Pay Range: $100,000.00 – $134,500.00 per year.
