Job Overview We are a family-owned restaurant looking for a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are also willing to train someone who is motivated, responsible, and willing to learn. Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and measuring according to recipes and restaurant standards. Assist with cooking, assembling, and preparing dishes following established kitchen procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep station and kitchen area. Follow food safety guidelines for proper handling, storage, labeling, and sanitation of ingredients. Support the kitchen team during busy service times by completing assigned tasks efficiently and carefully. Restock supplies, ingredients, and prep items as needed to help kitchen operations run smoothly. Assist with meal preparation for special events, catering, or large orders when required. Work respectfully with other staff members and contribute to a positive team workplace. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is an asset, but not required. Strong interest in working in the food industry and willingness to learn. Basic knowledge of food handling, kitchen safety, and cleanliness standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if needed. Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a respectful and professional workplace.
