Overview AtkinsRéalis is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join our growing Ports & Marine team in Québec City, Montréal or Rimouski. In this hybrid role, you will help shape complex marine and coastal infrastructure across the province and nationally. You'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary specialists and contribute to engineering designs that support safe, resilient, and sustainable maritime facilities. This role is ideal for engineers looking to deepen their technical expertise, gain hands-on project experience, and work within a globally recognized engineering organization. This position is available at our Montreal or Quebec locations. Your role Reporting to the Team Lead, Ports & Marine – Québec, you will: - Develop analyses, designs, and detailed engineering solutions for ports and marine structures under senior guidance. - Prepare design criteria, drawings, specifications, and technical reports for marine assets such as piers, wharves, ferry terminals, and waterfront structures. - Support concept development, feasibility studies, and preliminary design work, clearly outlining assumptions, options, and sketches. - Provide construction-phase support including RFIs, submittals, field observations, and review of as-built documentation. - Collaborate with BIM and drafting teams, as well as geotechnical, coastal, seismic, and other internal specialists to ensure constructible and coordinated designs. - Assist in tracking scope, schedule, budget, risks, and changes within assigned work packages. - Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. About you - Bachelor'S or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. - Approximately 3 to 7 years of experience in ports and marine structural design or related infrastructure. - Registered or eligible for registration with Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) as a Professional Engineer. - Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000, or similar). - Ability to develop constructible designs and clearly communicate concepts through drawings and specifications. - Strong technical writing and presentation skills. - Proficient in French and English (Written and verbal)*.
