Position Overview The Territory Manager is responsible for the Petro-Canada dealer network across Newfoundland, with additional oversight of corporate-owned sites along the west coast. This role represents North Sun Energy (NSE) and provides operational, commercial, and performance leadership across the territory. With approximately 75% focus on dealer operations, the role is centered on strengthening dealer relationships, driving sales and profitability, identifying new business opportunities, and coaching partners. The remaining 25% supports corporate Orangestore sites on the west coast, ensuring strong execution, operational excellence, and site-level performance. Across all locations, the Territory Manager is accountable for brand standards, customer experience, compliance, promotions, loyalty programs, and overall territory growth. Duties and Responsibilities: - Build and maintain positive relationships across the corporate and independent dealer networks, ensuring operational execution aligns with Orangestore and Petro-Canada brand standards. - Manage and deliver financial and operational objectives through on-site and off-site reviews, developing corrective action plans as needed. - Maximize profitability by growing higher-margin convenience retail categories and controlling costs. - Drive performance by developing and executing action plans to achieve site and territory execution standards. - Communicate and support the deployment of marketing initiatives. - Coach and counsel franchisees and corporate managers on Health, Safety, and Environment protocols. - Act as the representative in contractual relationships with retail dealers in the territory. - Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including independent dealer acquisitions. - Actively participate in retail events and promotional activities. - Communicate information and provide support for deployment of marketing initiatives - Maximize performance objectives through development and execution of action plans to ensure site/territory execution standards are achieved - Pursue new site growth through competitive independent dealer acquisitions - Operationalize safety initiatives - Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, marketing, engineering, or equivalent education and experience. - 3–5 years of experience in retail operations (asset). - Customer-centric, results-driven, with strong knowledge of convenience retailing and 4P execution (Price, Product, Placement, Promotion). - Demonstrated strong performance, delivery, and commercial acumen. - Self-starter with a results-driven mindset. - Ability to approach work with a learner mindset and adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with well-developed interpersonal, communication, and non-authoritative leadership abilities. - Ability to present ideas, deliver presentations, and build relationships across all levels of the organization. - Experience conducting economic evaluations and strong understanding of small business operations with the ability to perform broad economic analysis. - Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and achieve consensus. - Solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
