Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. The position requires a robust mechanical knowledge base, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques Repair or replace faulty components to minimize downtime Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical problems Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently Collaborate with other maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules Experience Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar maintenance role preferred Robust mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, vehicles, or equipment Hands-on experience with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Familiarity with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact wrenches Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards Pay: $17.50-$38.50 per hour Education: AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred) Experience: Mechanic: 3 years (preferred) Language: English (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nlxml
