Caregiver (Personal Support Worker)ML (Nanaimo)

We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker to support two female employers living with Cerebral Palsy with all activities of daily living. The employers are sisters who live together in their own ground floor suite that love cooking, baking, arts and crafts and music. Location: - Nanaimo (Near Buy Low Foods by Fifth Street) Shifts & Hours of Work: - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9:00AM-5:00PM (with a second caregiver from 8:00AM to 3:00PM) - Saturday 9:00AM-5:00PM (supporting both employers) - Flexibility to cover shifts - Training early March with an official start of March 14th Compensation: - $22 per hour Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to): - Daily personal care such as showering, dressing, washroom care - Assistance with Ceiling lift transfers - Assistance with incontinence care and Bi-pap for one employer only - Meal preparation and feeding assistance - Light housekeeping such as vacuuming and general maintenance and upkeep - Details of each employers individual needs will be discussed further at interview Required Qualifications: - 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred - Driver’s License (Class 5) and a reliable vehicle for ease of transit - required - Must be comfortable working in an workplace with dogs - Physically fit to perform ceiling lift transfers - Fully Vaccinated If you are interested in this position and meet all the required qualifications, please apply directly to this job posting.
