Procurement / Sourcing Specialist 1 needed for a 6-month onsite contract. Position offers a competitive rate. NO VISA SPONSORSHIP OFFERED. 1 Plus years of experience required. Key responsibilities will include processing requests, gathering bids along with pricing, issuing purchase orders, confirming receipts, processing invoices, tracking shipments, and handling downstream reporting. This role requires close collaboration with other Contract Analysts, Supply Chain Specialists (Buyers), and Operations. Relevant experience might include supply chain, inventory management, procurement, logistics, oil and gas, or IT.Summary: The main function of a procurement / sourcing specialist is to manage the procurement of goods and services for their organization, ensuring the best quality for the best price. A procurement / sourcing specialist is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts to optimize the company's buying power.Job Responsibilities: Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies and manage all stages of the procurement cycle. Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.Assess and manage risks associated with procurement and supply contracts. Track and report key functional metrics to improve effectiveness and reduce costs. Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance and operations, to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations of the company.Skills: Proven experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar position with in-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and manage contracts. Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools, such as inventory management systems and supplier databases.Analytical mindset with strategic thinking capabilities and high attention to detail. Competence in making sound business decisions and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of procurement and business trends. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders and fostering key supplier relationships.
