Customer Service & Production Representative (Nanaimo)

Job Overview A busy full-service engraving and custom products business is seeking a Customer Service & Production Representative to join our team. We are looking for an individual with robust customer service experience, computer knowledge, teamwork skills, and creativity. This self-starter role involves assisting customers, working with computer-based design and engraving systems, and supporting light manufacturing and production activities to complete daily priorities. Responsibilities - Assembly and production of engraved signage, nameplates, promotional products, awards, custom items, and related products to customer specifications - Engraving and customization work using computer design programs and specialized equipment - Operation and basic maintenance of production equipment including printers, lasers, heat press equipment, and engraving machines - Assisting customers with product selection, order intake, and sales transactions - Preparing, stocking, and pulling associated materials and hardware from inventory - Supporting day-to-day production workflow and ensuring quality standards are maintained - Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat with professionalism and courtesy. - Provide accurate information about products and services, addressing customer needs promptly. - Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date customer records and order information. - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery. Qualifications - Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. - Good computer skills and comfort learning specialized software and equipment - Creative and detail-oriented mindset - Experience with CorelDRAW, Photoshop, or other graphic design software is an asset but not required - Experience in customer service or sales is preferred - Demonstrated data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. - Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse customers.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Training provided.
