Be a vital part of community health as a Mental Wellness and Substance Use Outreach Nurse. This one-year position focuses on harm reduction and supporting individuals affected by substance use. Our client seeks a skilled Outreach Nurse to deliver healthcare services addressing mental health and substance use concerns. The role involves advocating for prescribed medications, providing clinical guidance, and implementing creative mental wellness programs. Engage directly with community members through home visits, health assessments, and tailored care plans. Key Responsibilities: • Advocate for client access to prescription medications • Develop and implement mental wellness programming • Provide outreach health services in multiple settings • Educate community on mental health and addictions • Monitor and report client health status to supervisors Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Registered Nursing or Registered Psychiatric Nursing • Two years of recent Mental Health and Substance Use nursing experience • Current registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives • CPR certification within four months of employment • Valid driver’s license for work-related travel Make an impact on mental health and substance use recovery in the community.
