Clinical Dietitian in Continuing Care (Nanaimo)

Provide essential nutrition care as a Clinical Dietitian, focusing on quality of life for residents. This part-time position offers the chance to work in a dynamic continuing care setting. As part of the food services team, your role includes assessing nutritional needs and creating care plans with an interdisciplinary approach. You'll document the nutritional status of residents and ensure that everyone on the care team has access to important information. Engage actively in resident care conferences and leverage your knowledge of therapeutic diets to enhance safety and well-being. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and communicate nutrition care plans for residents - Conduct assessments related to weight management and dysphagia - Participate in clinical team rounds and conferences - Collaborate on menu approvals with management - Promote departmental initiatives related to resident care Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field - Completion of a Dietetic Internship Program - Registration as a Dietitian in British Columbia - Effective organizational and time-management skills - Food Safety Certificate and experience in continuing care advantageous Bring your clinical dietetic knowledge to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives.
