Executive Chef– Nanaimo, BC Join our team in beautiful Nanaimo and lead a culinary operation focused on quality, consistency, team culture, and exceptional guest experiences.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Executive Chef who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in developing people, driving standards, and creating memorable dining experiences.
What You’ll Do
Lead and inspire the culinary team across all food operations
Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety
Manage scheduling, labour, food cost, inventory, and purchasing
Coach and mentor kitchen leaders and team members
Collaborate with hotel leadership to deliver exceptional guest satisfaction
Support menu development and seasonal features
Build a positive, accountable, and high-performing kitchen culture
What We’re Looking For
Proven leadership experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef
Strong financial and operational knowledge
Passion for coaching and team development
Ability to lead calmly and confidently under pressure
Red Seal certification is considered an asset
Hotel with Restaurant and catering or multi-outlet experience preferred
