School psychology services are team-based, non-categorical, psycho-educational services designed to support students in their learning in addition to supporting their adaptive and social-emotional development. The school psychologist provides a continuum of preventative and intervention services as a member of a multidisciplinary team approach within the district’s Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTTS) framework. The school psychologist facilitates the educational, personal, social, and emotional development of students in schools across the tiers of the MTSS model. The school psychologist works in collaboration with the School-Based Team (SBT), other district Learning Services staff, and community partner agencies to assist in the development of supports for students and classrooms. School psychology services are always connected to the classroom and whole school environment (tier 1) with interventions within the other two tiers (tiers 2 and 3) being made available through consultation with the SBT.
