Commercial Insurance Associate The

Commercial Insurance Associate will apply strong attention to detail and excellent client service skills while working closely with a team of Producers and Marketers on Commercial accounts. Responsibilities include assisting producers and marketers with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts, responding to client inquiries, managing policy documentation, and coordinating with insurers to provide accurate coverage information.

Responsibilities

Assist producer and marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts.

Meet existing clients’ needs and process documentation (Certificates of Insurance, Cover Notes, Renewals, Proposals, Endorsements, In-House Policies, Invoicing, Finance Contracts, Customer Correspondence).

Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to the client.

Contact clients for renewal information.

Take client calls and answer questions regarding coverages, accept and process online quotes.

Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price to best meet the client’s needs in conjunction with the producer.

Update client information as changes occur.

Answer account related questions/requests from clients, lawyers, and banks.

Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry.

Perform additional duties to support the floater position as assigned.

Qualifications

Level 2 Insurance License or willingness to obtain.

Self‑motivated with a strong sense of urgency.

Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment.

Minimum of one year commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor.

Pro‑active and a self‑starter with a keen attention to detail.

Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences and meet desired needs.

Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal), present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.

Works well in a fast paced, client‑focused environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Industry designation an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance&Risk Management Diploma– BCIT).
