Elevate your culinary career as a First Cook at Lighthouse Bistro in Nanaimo, BC. This role requires strong food production skills during busy service hours and teamwork with other cooks.

As a valued First Cook, you will run the food production line and assist in BBQ during peak times while collaborating closely with Production and Prep Cooks. Your responsibilities include preparing detailed prep lists and maintaining sanitation and quality standards as directed by the chef. Experience will be key to success as you will also handle special events during your shifts.

Key Responsibilities:• Expedite food production during high volume service • Assist Production and Prep Cooks effectively • Prepare morning and evening prep lists based on chef’s guidance • Maintain quality and sanitation in food handling • Follow company guidelines and procedures accurately

Requirements:• Food Safe certification or equivalent required • Minimum 2 years cooking experience in restaurants • Experienced in handling high volume cooking • Knowledgeable in sanitation and quality control • Reside in Nanaimo, BC area
