Personal Caregiver, Sechelt

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Caregiver to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional care and support to clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well‑being. Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management. Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events. Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives. Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard.Assist clients with activities of daily living tailored to meet their specific needs. Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided while demonstrating current competency. Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; report any unusual events or changes to the supervisor or office promptly.Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices. Completion of a formal, accredited caregiver training program or equivalent education and experience. Strong knowledge of caregiving principles and customer service. Effective communication skills in spoken and written English; French proficiency considered an asset. Current knowledge of best practices for community care.Physical ability to assist clients with movement and repositioning; able to lift up to 23 kg, squat, bend, stand, and reach. Reliable transportation; a driver’s license and automobile are considered an asset. Clear Criminal background check with a Vulnerable Sector Check.
