Practical Nursing Program Instructors Needed (Nanaimo)

Shape future nurses at Vancouver Island University's Practical Nursing program. As an instructor for the 2026/2027 academic year, engage students through virtual and in-person courses across two campuses. The Faculty of Health Sciences and Human Services is actively seeking dedicated nursing instructors. In this impactful role, facilitate a variety of teaching methods in clinical and classroom environments, helping students bridge theory and practice. Collaborative participation in faculty meetings and program planning will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver energetic educational courses in nursing - Assess and grade student performance on assignments - Guide students in applying theory to practical situations - Engage in curriculum development and program activities - Attend departmental meetings regularly Requirements: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and BCCNM registration - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing - At least five years of nursing experience required - Proficient in information technology applications - Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License mandatory Bring your skills and knowledge to the diverse student community at Vancouver Island University.
