Description
The Dairy Queen Assistant Manager oversees daily restaurant operations, supports the General Manager, manages staff, ensures customer satisfaction, and maintains operational standards. Key Responsibilities - Operational Management: Manage the restaurant during scheduled shifts, ensuring smooth operations, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards for quality, service, and sanitation. - Staff Leadership: Assist in hiring, training, and developing hourly employees, provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance reviews, and prepare employee schedules to meet staffing needs. - Customer Service: Respond promptly to customer complaints, resolve issues, and ensure guest satisfaction is maintained. - Financial Oversight: Assist in controlling product and labor costs, manage inventory, ordering, and cash control, and help optimize restaurant profitability. - Promotions and Communication: Oversee execution of product promotions, communicate operational updates, and report significant issues to the General Manager. - Compliance and Safety: Ensure food safety, sanitation, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Qualifications - Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. - Experience: One to three years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred; Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience strongly preferred. - Skills: Excellent customer service, employee relations, and communication skills; detail-oriented; capable of managing multiple areas simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. - Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for entire shifts, work in coolers, tolerate cleaning products, and perform tasks such as climbing ladders. Work Environment - Fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting with constant interaction with customers and staff. - Focus on teamwork, positive employee relations, and maintaining a cooperative and productive work climate.
