The normal setting for this job is a repair / maintenance shop at our Napanee hauling site.

Each day you’ll fix the trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across North America. As an 310T Mechanic Apprentice you can take pride in watching a truck roll out of the shop, knowing yourlocal community will be supported by your hard work. Our mechanics take their careers to the next level by working on equipment that requires a high level of skill – and determination. You’ll be using modern tools and procedures to deliver exceptional maintenance on both diesel equipment and, atsome locations, on our growing fleet of CNG trucks.
Here’s more of what you’ll do:
Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
Perform your work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Safety checks on vehicles– the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority.
Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
What do you need to be considered for the role of an 310T Mechanic Apprentice
Registered 2nd year or greater 310T Apprentice
A valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record
Be over 18 years of age.
Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
