Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, you will: - Carry out a range of domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment - Carpet cleaning of all areas, using a carpet cleaner - Cleaning residents’ rooms including ensuites, furniture and equipment, as appropriate, and communal and administrative areas - Ensure common living areas, hallways and all other areas of the facility (including front entrance courtyards, verandas) are maintained in a clean and tidy and safe condition - Ensure the safe storage, security and labelling of appropriate cleaning materials in line with the MSDS, and in consultation with the Residential Services Manager, while being aware of the environmental requirements of cleaning products and their disposal - Replenishing cleaning liquids and materials whilst observing safety procedures - Report stock shortages, breakages, building, equipment or furnishing defects promptly to the Residential Services Manager This Opportunity Is Perfect For Someone Who Is Available To Work Part Time, Covering All Of The Days And Shifts Listed Below **Week 1** Monday 0700-1530 Tuesday 0700-1530 Friday 0700-1530 **Week 2** Monday 0700-1530 Tuesday 0700-1530 **About You** Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees and volunteers; patience; common sense and an understanding of client service - Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without supervision - Experience using a professional carpet cleaner - Well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines - Ability to operate with discretion and to maintain complete confidentiality. - Commitment to work as part of a team **Why VMCH?** Because the people we employ make it a great place to work!
