Application Developer (C#/SQL Server) (Stellarton)

This role will be based out of our Stellarton, NS office. Applications Developer Responsibilities Identify functional and technical solutions to meet requirements for HR based applications. Ensure the development of detailed functional, technical, and operational specifications for delivery of recommended solutions. Provide accurate estimates from analysis and design specifications. Conduct design and code reviews to ensure the solution delivered conforms to IT standards and quality software delivery practices. Code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. This includes researching, documenting, and modifying software and specifications throughout the system development life cycle. Ensure all documentation is created, up to date, and correct before solution or changes are implemented into production. Provide specialized Level 2 & 3 application support; identify root cause and resolve underlying issues as needed. Work closely with vendors to resolve application incidents in a timely manner. Communicate to team members and other teams updated on product backlog status, incidents, and projects, as appropriate. Qualifications Undergraduate degree or minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Understanding of application development, support & delivery. Experience with integrations and data flows. Experience with relational databases and SQL queries. Comfortable handling and reviewing data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV. Familiar with common web protocols, including REST APIs, SFTP, and connections. Familiarity with Agile & Scrum methodology. Experience working with outsourced service providers and vendor management.
