Job Summary&Key Responsibilities The Sessional Instructor will be responsible for teaching a half credit course in Managerial Economics (PUAD 5130) to first‑year Master of Public Administration students during the Fall Term (September to December 2026). The course meets on Mondays from 17:35–20:25 and a tutorial on Wednesdays from 17:15–20:25. The instructor will manage all teaching and administrative duties and be available for two hours per week outside class for student consultations. Additional course‑related administration may be required after the course concludes.

Qualifications / Requirements A master’s degree in public administration or a related field and recent or current executive‑level experience within government departments is required. A Ph.D. in Public Administration or a related field is an asset. Prior university‑level teaching at the master’s level and demonstrated teaching effectiveness at that level are required.

Preference will be given to applicants with executive‑level experience in government departments and to those with expertise in managerial economics in the public sector.

Salary Range / Pay Rate $8,260 per course (in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement).
