Job Summary&Key Responsibilities This Part-Time Academic Position will teach in-person lectures and labs for the course LARC 4015 Professional Practice. The course is delivered in the Winter Term, from January to April 2027. Lectures are scheduled for Fridays from 12:35 pm to 3:25 pm and labs are scheduled for Fridays from 8:35 am to 11:25 am. The Part‑Time Academic will handle all aspects of teaching and administering the lectures and labs, including test preparation, evaluation, and use of the Brightspace platform. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
Qualifications/Requirements
At least one year of teaching experience in a postsecondary educational institution.
Excellent oral and written communication, collegiality, organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in landscape architecture.
Five years’ full membership in the Atlantic Provinces Association of Landscape Architects, or equivalent.
Experience in contract administration processes, cost estimating and project management, and business development.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement.
