Warehouse Associate - Summer Term (Truro)

Kerr Controls Ltd. (Kerr) is a leading distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Equipment, and Supplies. We have an immediate opening for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our team at our Distribution Center in Truro, NS for the summer season. This position provides an excellent chance to gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations and logistics while working in a fast-paced team workplace. The successful candidate will support daily warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving, inventory organization, order preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient workplace. What you’ll do - Assist with receiving, sorting, and organizing incoming inventory - Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment - Support shipping and receiving activities - Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization - Operate RF/barcode systems and other warehouse tools as required - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned What you bring to the team: - Previous warehouse experience is considered an asset, but not required - Forklift experience is considered an asset (training can be provided) - Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team - Positive attitude and strong attention to detail - Basic computer skills are considered an asset - Must have a valid driver’s license - Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs.) - Strong commitment to workplace health and safety What you can look forward to when you join our team: - Hands-on experience in warehouse operations and logistics - Training provided for equipment and processes - Competitive hourly wages - Opportunity to develop workplace skills and experience - Supportive team environment and mentorship opportunities At Kerr Controls LTD. we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
