Description
You will be a project executive for the Bed Management Unit (BMU) in Singapore’s largest tertiary hospital. You will collaborate with Medical, Surgical, Radiological and Nursing departments to advocate for, develop and implement Short Stay Ward (SSW) models of care. You will also support the BMU’s preparations for the new SGH Elective Care Centre Building (ECC) which is expected to open within the next 3 years. You will be involved in the Planning, Coordination and Management of a team of staff to do Bed Assignment for patients in the ECC. Responsibilities Define, track, and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SSW utilisation. Prepare management reports, dashboards, and proposals for senior leaders and clinical stakeholders. Identify and recommend improvement initiatives to enhance departmental KPIs and support greater efficiency in clinical projects. Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to design, refine, and implement innovative services and workflows that enhance patient care, reduce wait times, and improve operational efficiency. Conduct holistic assessments and process mapping of Elective/SSW workflows in ECC to support smooth implementation of the patient bed journey, including Advance Bed Planning. Lead and manage a team to deliver high‑quality Bed Management Services for ECC daily. Develop team competency, support staff career aspirations, and implement development plans to strengthen workforce capabilities. Provide secretariat support for meetings and coordinate events organised by the Division/Department. Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in a general discipline, preferably with 2 years of healthcare and/or staff management experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office apps/tools (not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to improve work efficiency. Solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and support decision‑making. Demonstrated experience or knowledge in project performance management, including tracking project milestones, assessing outcomes, and preparing performance reports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in people engagement. Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and contribute effectively as part of a team. Strong change management capabilities, with the ability to anticipate and manage resistance while facilitating smooth adoption of new initiatives.
