Become an Active Living Program Staff at YMCA to support newcomers in their community journey. Drive wellness through engaging, inclusive services and activities. In this role, under the supervision of the Active Living Coordinator, you will develop and deliver programs designed for newcomers. Your vital contributions will ensure a welcoming environment that encourages social, mental, and physical well-being. Collaborating with community partners, your work will help participants navigate their recent surroundings and foster lasting connections. Key Responsibilities: • Use GBA+ analysis for effective program planning • Create and adapt materials for workshops and activities • Prepare program resources to ensure smooth logistics • Deliver inclusive programs tailored to client needs • Maintain relationships with community stakeholders and partners Requirements: • Degree in Recreation, Health Promotion, or related field • Robust problem-solving and organizational skills • Proven experience with diverse communities, including immigrants • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online tools Help newcomers shine through cooperative, health-focused programming at the YMCA.
