Job Title Security Guard Location Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia Pay $18.50 per hour Schedule Swing/Rotational Schedule: 7pm–7am; 4 days on, 4 days off. Must have full availability. Qualifications Six months experience as a Security Guard. Valid driver’s license. Open shift availability. Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client‑specific sites. Valid Ontario Security License. Eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week. First Aid and CPR certification. At least 18years old. High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience. Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20kg. Responsibilities Efficient use of computers to ensure effective patrolling and site security. Respond to emergency situations such as fires, chemical spills, medical emergencies, and phone threats; answer alarms and investigate disturbances. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises. Complete monthly, weekly, and daily tasks assigned. Communicate with stakeholders, including site management, in a professional manner. Address and manage security incidents and emergency situations calmly and efficiently. Perform regular patrols and site checks to maintain security standards.
