Kerr Controls Ltd. (Kerr) is a leading distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Equipment, and Supplies. We have an immediate opening for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our team at our Distribution Center in Truro, NS for the summer season.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in warehouse operations and logistics while working in a fast‑paced team environment. The successful candidate will support daily warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving, inventory organization, order preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
What you’ll do:
Assist with receiving, sorting, and organizing incoming inventory
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment
Support shipping and receiving activities
Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization
Operate RF/barcode systems and other warehouse tools as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Perform other warehouse‑related duties as assigned
What you bring to the team:
Previous warehouse experience is considered an asset, but not required
Forklift experience is considered an asset (training can be provided)
Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
Basic computer skills are considered an asset
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs.)
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
