Description
Job Description At Trisan we are currently hiring an Estimator to join our expanding team. Step into a key role with a quick-growing construction company that truly values its people—their ideas, creativity, initiative, and commitment to excellence. As an Estimator with Trisan, you will drive the procurement and closing of project opportunities that fall within our respective disciplines of construction. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and filling gaps in our master construction schedule. Additionally, you will support active construction projects by providing estimates on changes as they relate to extra work or changes in scope. The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively use workplace technology such as Bluebeam and MS Project for the review of construction drawings, specifications, quantity take-offs, and scheduling. Responsibilities - Strong knowledge of costing large civil infrastructure projects including earthworks, water, wastewater, etc. - Mentor and develop Estimating Team in high-pressure situations - Review drawings and tender documentation - Compliance for closing bids - Creating preliminary schedules, and budgets - Communicate with clients, suppliers and subcontractors - Review of tenders undertaken to ensure that bid submission is completed with a high degree of accuracy - Represent Trisan Construction at Preliminary Site Meetings - Analyze specifications and construction drawings - Plan and implement construction schedules alongside assigned project personnel - Effectively written and oral communication with clients and project representatives - Creating technical proposals for submission to owners - Oversee prequalification submissions - Oversee RFQ and RFI - Quote change orders as needed Requirements - Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - At least 2 years + in Heavy Civil Estimating projects $1M and up - C.E.T/C.Tech considered an asset - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills Why Work With Us At Trisan Construction, you’ll join a company with strong roots and steady growth.
