Order Picker, Packer & Shipping StagerSheldon Creek Dairy – Alliston, ON Full-Time | Food Production & Distribution About Us Sheldon Creek Dairy is a family-owned, independent dairy farm and processing facility producing small-batch milk, cultured products, butter, and specialty dairy products. We supply retail, wholesale, and distribution customers across Ontario and operate a busy on-farm store. We are growing and we’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member to join our Order Fulfillment team. Position Overview The Order Picker, Packer & Shipping Stager is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and staging retail and wholesale orders in a quick-paced, food production environment. This role is critical to ensuring customers receive the right products, in perfect condition, on time. This is not just a warehouse job accuracy, food safety, and organization matter. Key Responsibilities Order Picking & Packing - Accurately pick products based on order sheets - Verify product type, size, and quantity - Rotate stock (FIFO) while picking - Ensure cold-chain integrity is maintained - Pack orders neatly and securely for transport Staging & Shipping - Stage orders by route, date, and customer - Organize coolers and freezers for efficient driver loading - Confirm orders are complete prior to dispatch - Communicate shortages or discrepancies immediately Inventory & Organization - Assist with inventory counts - Restock picking areas - Maintain clean, organized cooler/freezer areas - Identify low stock or product quality concerns Food Safety & Compliance - Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures - Maintain a clean and safe workspace - Wear appropriate PPE - Support audit readiness (CFIA/food safety standards) Work Environment - Cold storage environment (cooler & freezer work required) - Fast-paced production facility - Early morning start time - Physically active role Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs - Standing and walking for extended periods - Working in refrigerated conditions - Bending, lifting, and repetitive movement What We’re Looking For You are: - Extremely detail-oriented - Reliable and punctual - Comfortable working in cold environments - Organized and methodical - Physically capable and energetic - Able to work independently - Proud of doing accurate work Experience in food production, warehouse, grocery, or distribution is an asset — but reliability and work ethic matter more.
