Lumber Delivery Driver (Beeton)

Here we grow again! You are in great shape and capable of carrying up to 50 lb. deck boards. Your primary role is helping to load & strap customer orders onto either a flat deck truck or 22’ trailer, perform the daily safety circle check for the vehicle, and ensure everything on your load is complete and correct before leaving the yard. Most of your deliveries are within the GTA (1-5 stops typically), and there will be the occasional pick up at our suppliers. Upon return to the yard, you are required to fuel up the vehicle and remove all garbage and recycling and have the vehicle ready for the next day. Other duties/requirements include: - Professionalism and customer service orientation is expected while interacting with customers and coworkers - Assisting yard staff with picking orders, shipping & receiving, inventory control, and yard maintenance. Qualifications: - Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs continuously - Our insurance company stipulates that you are minimum 25 years old - Must have extensive experience backing up a trailer using pick-up truck (our trailers are 22' long) - Must be fluent in English and able to read English - Must be bondable and have a current social insurance number - Current clean driver’s abstract – 5 plus years verifiable driving history - High school diploma - Must be comfortable driving with a trailer - Must be punctual - Must have valid G license and be insurable to drive the company vehicles - Must reside within 45 minutes of Beeton - Physically fit to handle loading and unloading at yard and customer job sites - Have and use the WAZE app (free download) and valuable communication skills - Willing to work overtime when necessary - Forklift experience (or willingness to learn) is a plus - Post secondary education an asset.
